Child's Dress and Two Tea Towels - One Warp
A nostalgic weaving project from Halcyon Yarn -
My daughter Gretchen was helping me to dry dishes one day and said “Isn’t this the same as the dress I had when I was a little girl?" What fun to remember that long gone hand-me-down by still having the towel made from the same warp 25 years ago! How nice to know that the towel has endured. Here is the pattern - recreated to include the child’s timeless string tie dress and two dishtowels to remember it by long after it has been passed along.
The pattern is an easy-to-weave lace stripe in summer colors. The dress has a 10/2 Cotton weft and the towels the same durable Homestead Cotton as in the warp. The seven strand braid trim is challenging but fun. (Sorry but skirt pattern and yardage are not included
