    Classes, hang-outs & social meet-ups!

    In addition to our wide range of classes, Halcyon Yarn offers weekly opportunities to enjoy good company while you work/play with fiber! Groups are free and open to all! Join us, won't you?

    • Spin Share with Denice Sharpe, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm the 1st Thursday of each month. Bring your wheel and enjoy spinning, exchanging new ideas and learning with old friends and new. Free of charge. This class meets in our 3rd floor classroom.
    • Tuesday Twisted Spinners meet in our classroom every Tuesday from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Bring your wheel, some fiber, and lunch. There is no charge, no reservation needed, and all levels of spinning skills are welcome!
    • Sit 'n Knit meets Monday nights from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Knitters of all experience level are welcome! It's an informal, relaxing evening with no reservations needed, and no charge.
    • Weave Share with Michael Patterson runs March through December on the third Wednesday of each month from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Bring your ideas and questions, or just join us for a monthly chat about weaving. A great place to share your latest project, get tips from Michael and others, and share some good company with other weavers.
    • Rug Hooking Group First Wednesday of each month, 1pm to 5pm, led by Susie Stephenson.
    • Rigid Heddle Weaving Group: We are very excited to start this group meeting on the last Wednesday of each month, 10:30 am - 1:30 pm, led by Liz Johnson. We have had several requests from rigid heddle weavers for their own group like the Weave Share Group for floor loom weavers. This group will focus on sharing their work and ideas for using the rigid heddle loom and will be a chance for some socializing with fellow rigid heddle weavers. Join the fun, bring your loom and weave, bring your work to share and show off, join the fun! The first meeting of this group will be Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 10:30 am.
    Halcyon Yarn welcomes other fiber group meetings. If your group is looking for a meeting place, we have a large classroom with kitchen facilities available. Please call 800.341.0282 for more information.

    Cancellation Policy:
    Cancellation must be made 2 weeks prior to class to receive your full payment back, and 4 weeks for Special Attractions. Those cancellations made after that time will receive only 50% of the payment back. Failure to show for a class without notification will result in loss of full payment. If we must cancel a class it will be done one week prior to class and your full payment will be returned. A list of materials and any preparatory work will be sent upon registration.
