This piece was inspired by an article about an overshot gamp by Carol Strickler in the Winter 1978 issue of Interweave magazine and a study of name drafts by my weaving guild. Each section of the threading is a name draft of a family member and it is treadled using a modified “tromp as writ”.
Materials: 20/2 Pearl Cotton, 2/18 JaggerSpun Zephyr Wool-Silk, 4 harness Leclerc, 12 dent reed.
