Kumihimo Cord in Orange Silk Alicia Faires
This piece was a first attempt to create an obijime cord with an as closely matched as possible weave (minus the core of unwoven strands) as commonly used Japanese machine-woven obijime. While the cord is narrower than intended, the pattern that resulted is close to the Japanese obijime.
Materials: 2/30 orange Gemstone Silk yarn, home-made Marudai.
