About: Upland California Cotton

Most of the cotton grown in the US is the upland type. Upland is a generic term for varieties in the species Gossypium hirsutum. Fiber length is between 1 and 1.25 inches. California cotton, varieties of Acala, are generally whiter, longer, and stronger than cottons grown elsewhere. Organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic inputs. All of the fertilizers and pest control methods are either biological or mechanical.

About: Cotton Punis

Cotton punis are imported from India and ready to spin. This is the perfect companion fiber for the charkha, although they can be spun on any wheel. An added feature is the newsprint from India in which each bundle is wrapped. Way fun! Approx. 40 punis per bundle.
