Don’t Forget To Check The Class Listing
Calling All Customers! from near and far to peruse our extensive list of classes. If you aren’t a local customer don’t fret. As you look forward in 2010, plan to visit Maine with a Halcyon Yarn Class as the main event. From weaving to felting and everything in between, there’s bound to be something you want to learn. Here is Halcyon on our wonderful city:
“Bath is an historic year-round waterfront city on the banks of the Kennebec River…lovingly preserved 19th century buildings…brick sidewalks lining pedestrian-friendly streets… diverse shops, boutiques, studios, and restaurants… And we have so much more too. Bath is a four-season town, and each season has a special charm.
In Spring, Summer and Fall Bath serves as an ideal center for activities like fishing, kayaking, beach-combing on two nearby ocean-front beaches or hiking our in-town nature preserve trails. Visit the world-class Maine Maritime Museum for exhibits on shipbuilding history, lobstering or take a tour of the Bath Iron Works or river tour of nearby lighthouses. There’s so much to do in our region you’ll want to bring your whole family . They’ll have a great time exploring while you sharpen your fiber skills and meet wonderful fiber fanatics from all over Maine, New England and the US. Put us on your destination map this year!”
My spotlight today is on the class Fear Not Color with Susan Douglas on Saturday January 30 from 10:00 to 2:00. You will have 30 different colors of yarn at your disposal to enable you to study how many different ways colors can work together. Build confidence with new techniques to enhance the use of color in your knitting. Susan is an amazing teacher – don’t miss this opportunity!
