Katharine Cobey – Knitting Great in Our Own Backyard

Don’t miss the opportunity to learn from knitting master Katharine Cobey in her up coming class, Best of the Best:  Gems from the Knitting Greats, to be offered Saturday April 5th from 10am-3pm.  A gem in her own right,  Katharine has studied the work of these masters extensively. This class promises to be lively and informative.

For those who are unfamiliar with Katharine Cobey, she is a revered  fiber artist  known for her brilliant mind and extensive list of accomplishments. Using knitting as her medium, Katharine amazes individuals with her innovative works of art, often forcing viewers to go beyond the surface and seek deeper meaning. As an educator, her clear and concise presentation of techniques and theories provides the perfect foundation for individual exploration. Residing in Cushing Maine, we are fortunate enough to have Katharine’s talents close enough to offer knitting  classes with her here at Halcyon Yarn. To find out more about Katharine read the article “Knitting as an Art Form” by Kate Hynd published in The Working Waterfront. It’s a fascinating read about a fascinating person! CUL
