Peace Fleece has a wonderfid story that love are proud to share with
you. In 1985, a local Maine sheep farmer decided to do what he could to foster peace between the Soviet and American people.
After a trade mission to the Soviet Union he decided to spin a yarn with a combination of the two countries' wool. Recently Peace Fleece has expanded it's reach, and now also works with Israeli and Palestinian farmers as well: "In response to the intensifying conflicts in Israel, Peace Fleece is choosing to support the
very courageous village of Neve Shalom/Wahat-al-Salam. Most of the yarn is a blend of wool from Abul Abed's flock that live next to NS/WAS and wool from the Maine Islands." It is incredibly warm, woolen spun. worsted weight yarn. The color range includes solids, solids, heathers, and tweeds with a soft, glowing halo of lustrous mohair.
