About: Swans Island Worsted

Swans Island has been hand weaving and naturally dying the finest wool blankets and throws here on the coast of Maine for over 15 years. We are very excited to offer their range of certified organic merino knitting yarns in fingering and worsted weights, exclusively to you for your own projects! The colors are all derived from natural dyes, or directly from the fleece. All the yarns are dyed in small batches at the Swans Island studio. The beauty of Swan’s Island yarns comes from the careful attention that given to each skein. Their yarns are carefully handled through many steps of the creative process resulting in yarns that are creamy soft and a joy to work with.
