Each year I become more grateful for all I’ve received in life - in both my family and my business. Over the years my family, staff, and I have loved getting to know our customers. I deeply appreciate that you all have made Halcyon Yarn a part of your “fiber life”, some of you since the very beginning at our Denver storefront in 1971! Here at Halcyon Yarn we think that forty years of being a part of this warm, generous and creative community of fiber artists is cause for celebration and we hope you’ll join us all year long for our Ruby Anniversary Celebration.

Here are some of the highlights we’re looking forward to:

  • Ruby Banner - Showcase your creativity, win prizes!
  • Ruby Bag Lunches - We’re hosting a lunchtime get together every other Thursday in July, August & September. There will be talks on fiber related topics, demonstrations, discussions and light refreshments.
  • Homecoming at Halcyon Yarn, BBQ & Lobster Picnic - July 17th - Our biggest event of the year is a chance to meet old and new friends and enjoy a traditional Maine feast, complete with strawberry shortcake! Check back for details on this event.
  • Open House - Our annual Columbus Day Weekend Open House will be our biggest ever! Up to 40% off regular merchandise along with the many informative demonstrations that are such a hit with grown-ups and kids alike!
  • Countdown to the next 40... As 2011 comes to a close we’ll be counting down with daily specials, tips and opportunities.
