Ashford Accelerated Charkha / Charka Spinning Wheel
The Ashford Accelerated Charka has one of the fastest ratios available: 80:1 when accelerated and 16:1 if driving the spindle directly. It can be assembled for either right or left handed cranking. It can also be adapted with a little piece of paper on the spindle to wind weaving bobbins/quills. Measurements for base are 14.25" X 5.5" and 10.5 to top of wheel. Spinner's Contrast Lap Cloth
Spinners protect your clothing from fiber fall out! The contrast aspect allows a better view of the drafting zone, resulting in a more evenly spun yarn. Use the white side for dark fibers and the dark side for light fibers. Dual pockets are accessible from either side and are great holders for "fuzzies" left from flicking, wpi tool, oil bottle or orifice hook.
