The ever expanding ripples of this 4-shaft undulation twill was inspired by samples and drafts pictured in Sharon Alderman's "Mastering Weave Structure." The nature of this weave structure provides a soft drape for this lofty wool throw, but also contributes to a 25% take-up/shrinkage in width and 15% take-up/shrinkage in length. The throw is consequently woven in two lengths and joined. Worsted weight, Harrisville Highland yarn is an excellent choice for warp and weft; it's easy to work with, has a wonderful color pallet, and fulls beautifully. Choose two shades of the same color for gentle waves or contrasting colors for dramatic surf.
