Swans Island has been hand weaving and naturally dyeing the finest wool blankets and throws here on the Coast of Maine for over 15 years. We are very excited to offer their range of certified organic merino knitting yarns in fingering and worsted weights, exclusively to you for your own projects!

The colors are all derived from natural dyes or directly from the fleece. The dyes are natural and the dyeing is done in small batches at the Swans Island Studio.

The beauty of Swans Island yarns comes from the careful attention given to each skein. Their yarns are handled gently through all steps of the creative process resulting in yarns that are creamy soft and a joy to use. Let these buttery soft, eco-friendly yarns help you to create luxurious heirlooms that are functional, beautiful and great to use.

The super–soft organic Merino Fiber is brought to Maine from South America, and carefully spun by Jagger Brothers of Springvale, Maine before heading to Swans Island Studio for an eco-friendly bath in sumptuous color.

Colors shown in fingering weight Item 279. All colors available in both sizes.
