v.1. 79" v.c. 65"
A ruffled scarf made with contrasting textured yarns. Stitches are cast on lengthwise and the ruffles are created by changing needle sizes and increasing stitches. The scarf is made in two sections. The stitches for the second section are picked up along the cast on length of the first section. Both versions are worked back and forth on circular needles, (note: circulars are not used in the round here but are used to accommodate many stitches). Version 1 is sewn together at the ends to create a circle scarf. For a loose and flowing result, it is most important that tension is correct. To err on the side of loose is better than tight for this project. Test tension on a small Garter stitch square before starting. Tight knitters may need to move up a half size on all needles to soften the result.
