The clever crocheted hat is shaped with a central hexagon and a series of squares surrounding. The key to success in this project is firm tension throughout, and especially in the band around the base. The simple scarf of Moss stitch with Garter Rib bands using a luxuriously soft alpaca, silk and wool yarn. Version 1 is worked on larger needles giving a wider and more pliable fabric texture. Version 2 uses smaller needles and is narrower and longer than version 1, with a firmer fabric texture. The Fingerless gloves are a simple rectangle and very easy to make
