Brand New Designs…
Here we go… entering into the last phase of winter we thought it would be a good time to put out a few new fast patterns to push you into the budding spring days that lie just around the corner. These new patterns were developed over the last month by our newest blast from the past employee, Kendra Rafford. Kendra has maintained her visibility through teaching her felting classes here at Halcyon Yarn while she has been at home, with her growing crew of boys and has been designing for the last three years.
“The Family Favorite Hat ” was inspired by customer requests to have an instore pattern with ear flaps. This style seems to be the newest trend in hats and we aimed to please. Kendra chose the new Debbie Bliss Como super bulky yarn to create with and hit a winner of a pattern that is reflected in the picture above in all sizes. Try it for yourself and see what amazing yarn this merino is as it works up into a speedy hat in the process.
The “Como Cuddler” will feature the same yarn by Debbie Bliss, but gives you an all in one effect. Wrapped up in this softness you almost can close your eyes and transport into a warmer and fleecier place. Try it for yourself or make up some gifts for next year’s holiday list before it’s time to be out in the yard.
Lastly, the “Ruffled Neck Wrap and Cowl” designed by Kendra Rafford is a beautifully paired design that features Malabrigo’s Silky Merino blend and Noro’s Silk
