Koala – Gwynn’s new favorite yarn

Koala . My newest favorite yarn to knit with! – especially this time of year. It’s supposed to be spring, moving into summer but you might not be able to tell here in Maine. It has been especially chilly so far this season and so a sweater is still called for when you leave the house.  (Oops! When I wrote this it was freezing with unseasonal temps and rain! Of course, now we have just come off of a 93 degree weekend…. so go figure! The way weather goes in Maine, this post will be timely some week or other.)

Koala feels so delicious and smooth on my skin. The blend of fibers – cotton, bamboo, silk and linen makes for a wonderful transitional fabric. It is soft and drapey and the bamboo and silk make it just warm and cozy enough. Plus these fibers coupled with the linen help the cotton keep its shape. (No cottoney sag and bag!)
