Renovations and Revamping for Spring!
For those who haven’t been by in a couple of months, things are looking a little different in the store…
New area under construction this week. Steampunk puzzle shelves at the checkout anyone…?
With the road construction happening to the Bath bridge/viaduct this winter we thought it would be a good time do some construction of our own in the shop. This week the viaduct re-opened ahead of schedule in Bath, traffic is flowing smoothly, trees are starting to bloom – and the shelves are filling up!
We’ve had front row seats to construction all winter… Now, the Route One overpass is ready for summer!
In the shop, our big renovations are moving fast!
By June everything will be revamped, restocked, and looking amazing. We’ve already made room for several hundred square feet of new inventory and demonstration spaces, plus there will be some great spots to pull up a chair, plan a project, or sit and knit or weave in the shop. New yarns, new colors, and new kits are appearing on the shelves each day. While under construction we’ve remained open and we’re grateful for everyone’s patience as we play a little hide-and-seek with our stock. When all’s said and done we’ll share plenty of pictures and invite you to a re-opening party to see it all spruced up – stay tuned!
This summer, besides lots of new classes, we’ll also be kicking off regular free knitting and weaving “office hours” where you can pop in for a little extra guidance, compare notes with others, learn new skills, and just enjoy the company of others as you work on your projects. (Of course, if you have a question, we’re glad to help any time or to schedule a private lesson if you need a little more focused assistance!) Keep an eye out here for the schedule, and come by to check out the progress in the new space.
