What a week it has been for everyone. We hope you all are staying safe and looking out for each other. As news and guidelines for COVID-19 are updated we will continue to respond to staff, customer, and community needs.
Looking out for your health & safety
Here’s what we are doing right now at Halcyon Yarn to keep our staff and customers safe:
• We’ve increased the frequency with which we clean surfaces in the store and hand sanitizer is available at the checkouts. Keyboards, phones, checkout areas, doorknobs and other high contact areas are on an even more frequent cleaning schedule.
• We’re installing an additional sink and sanitizing station for the safety of our fulfillment staff.
• Next week we’ll be rolling out enhanced ways to shop remotely and we’ll continue to adapt as we learn more. Please stay tuned and stay in touch if we can help improve your experience at Halcyon Yarn.
For the time being we will be going ahead with our currently scheduled classes, however if you are traveling a longer distance, are sick, or feel concern about coming in or attending a class or lesson please stay home. Just let us know so we can plan accordingly and discuss rescheduling. Our free drop in weaving and knitting groups are suspended for the rest of March and again, we will continue to update you as things evolve. Please watch your inbox for updates.
Your health and safety are of great importance to us, please reach out with any questions or concerns.
We’re also staying home as much as possible and staying focused on the silver lining of time to spend with our families and time to work on our favorite crafts. We realize it’s a privilege to be able to step back and take comfort in the “staying in” craft activities we love. Please, be extra kind and supportive of those who are isolated or cannot easily take that time. Consider this moment a respite if you can, and take comfort in the simple pleasures of making, and of giving. We’ll be staying in touch and we look forward to providing you with the best possible services and the comfort of the crafts we love in the weeks to come.
With best wishes for your wellbeing,
President, Halcyon Yarn
