“
Last Christmas, when my grandmother gave me some pretty blue fabric leftover from some long ago craft project, I determined that I would make a dress of my own design from its yardage. A couple twists and turns later, I ended up testing the pattern I designed on an old yellow sheet of my mother's and ended up with a very nice dress--albeit in an unfortunate shade of pastel yellow. Plant dyes seemed the logical choice. I scoured Amazon for a good resource and found "Harvesting Color: How to Find Plants and Make Natural Dyes" by Rebecca Burgess . . . used for $40. Halcyon yarn not only had the book new for about $25--a much better deal, but they also packed my order and shipped it to me quickly and professionally, emailing me updates on the status of my order along the way and providing me with a tracking id so I could know when to expect my book. All in all: First class service.
