Shipping policy
Shipped Orders
Orders are shipped from our facility in Maine approximately 1 to 3 business days after you place the order. Shipping estimates in your cart are in addition to the above processing times. Orders are processed Monday - Friday, except holidays. We deliver via USPS and UPS, not all services are available to all addresses, only those services for which your order and address are eligible will be displayed. You may select your preferred shipping method at checkout, and the cost and estimated delivery time will be provided in your cart.
If your order qualifies for Free Shipping it may be delivered by either USPS or UPS. If you need to specify a carrier/service please select the quoted option for that service.
Once submitted, orders cannot be modified or canceled. If you need to request a correction please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help, however we cannot guarantee that any changes will be possible.
Delivery times cannot be guaranteed, so although we do our very best to get your order to you quickly we cannot be responsible for delays or loss after the package leaves our facility. Refunds are not issued for delayed delivery. If a problem occurs please contact us directly so that we can work with the carrier to resolve the issue.
You will receive emails with notification of your tracking, these messages can sometimes end up in your spam folder so if you have questions about the delivery status of your order please contact us. We cannot ship via methods not listed in your checkout.
Orders requiring expedited shipping (Priority, Next, Second, or Three Day Service) must be received by 1pm (ET) to go out that day, otherwise they will depart the following business day via your selected service. Expedited deliveries are for 'business days' only and although usually reliable, are not guaranteed.
Please verify your shipping address during checkout. We can only go by what you tell us, so please double check that your information is correct prior to submitting your order. Any additional delivery fees or delays that result from incomplete delivery addresses or instructions will be your responsibility. If "porch piracy" is a concern please check your tracking to determine when your order will arrive. We are happy to include handling comments for the carrier (such as "please leave on porch"), however these are not guaranteed since practices vary by carrier. Halcyon Yarn is not responsible for orders that are stolen or damaged after delivery, and carriers will not accept claims for orders stolen or damaged after the delivery is completed.
Some larger items may require a specific delivery service, likewise some addresses may not be eligible for all carriers. If you need to use a freight forwarding service (for international deliveries) or require other special consideration please coordinate with us prior to ordering, we are glad to assist you. Occasionally an order will have special requirements or additional fees separate from those shown at checkout - this especially applies to things like floor looms that me be delivered by a freight carrier. If this is the case we will confirm these details with you prior to finalizing your order.
If items ship in separate delivery due to drop-shipping backordering, or pre-ordering, you will not be charged an additional shipping fee unless indicated when your order is confirmed.
Except in cases of error or damage Return Shipping fees are the customer's responsibility. See FAQs for our Refund Policy and exclusions, not all items can be returned.
International Orders
We are happy to ship internationally, delivery times will vary by region. please note that all duties, tariffs, or VAT are the customer's responsibility and will not be reflected in your shopping cart. These are paid upon receipt when you receive the delivery and we are not able to provide estimates, please contact your local customs office if you need additional information.
Scheduling a Curbside Pickup
Please select Store Pickup at checkout and choose the date and timeframe you will be picking up. Curbside pickup is 'contactless' and can be scheduled for pick up at Halcyon Yarn Monday – Friday, between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm (ET) with at least 1 hour of lead time for same-day orders. If you do not collect your Curbside Pickup at the scheduled time it will be left on the shelf until end-of-business that day and we will attempt to contact you the following business day to reschedule. If we cannot reach you or do not receive a response your purchase will be returned, minus a restocking fee, and your card refunded.
