Our heaviest Rug Wool, this 4-ply 100% New Zealand Rug Wool is the heftier version of our Classic 3-ply Rug Wool. Perfect for weaving sturdy weft-faced rugs and tapestries, saddle blankets, or other pieces that will receive a lot of wear or for which you want a highly durable and dense finished piece with a smooth finish.

Not recommended for warp, a weft faced weave is best at sett of approximately 4-5 EPI using a strong linen, wool, or cotton warp.
Rug Hookers/Punchers can combine this with the Classic 3-ply and Deco rug wools for added texture and heft. One skein will cover approximately two square feet. We recommend using your largest hand hook or punch needle. Also great for latch hooking.
Available in natural white only, and also available in 4 oz skeins, perfect for dying your own custom colors. Works beautifully with natural dyes and acid dyes. We recommend scouring prior to dying to achieve best color results and even coverage.
