Peace Fleece Yarn
Description
Description
Peace Fleece yarn is beautiful in your favorite worsted weight knitting patterns – sweaters, vests, mittens and hats are warm and lofty in this hearty woolen spun yarn. Choose from bright solid shades to heathers and softly speckled tweeds. Weavers, the drape of a twill blanket plays up the rustic beauty of this wool and mohair blend.
In 1985 a Maine sheep farmer named Peter Hagerty decided to do what he could to foster peace between the Soviet and American people. He developed a yarn that combined Soviet and American wool. In 1992 mohair was added to make a unique yarn that is incredibly warm and has a soft halo. Following the end of the cold war, the focus shifted to supporting American farmers, whose traditional livelihoods have changed in recent years. We have proudly carried this yarn since it began.
Hand wash or machine wash gentle/cold, and lay flat to dry.
