Shimmering shadows of vines twine through these sumptuous and supple, two color, shadow weave, tencel scarves. You'll find that they are easy to weave, easy to wear, and a joy to give. Purchase just the pattern and add your own color combinations in 8/2 Tencel or pick from our staff favorite combinations. Pictured in Birdsong Blue & Lilac Mist. 10" wide on loom. 24 EPI.
Tencel yarn is absorbent and breathable like other natural fibers and can be used similarly to silk, bamboo or mercerized cotton. Tencel 8/2 is a great weight for a range of weaving projects from yardage for garments or upholstery to knitted accessories. Dont let synthetic be a dirty word for this deluxe cellulose based fiber. Tencel yarn is soft and silky - enjoy the sheen, drape and rich colors for all your woven or lace projects.
Tip: Do not over-tension your warp, tencel has very little elasticity so too much tension can weaken the threads. When working with tencel it can help to lightly mist your warp, this will help reduce friction and the potential for breakage.
8/2 Tencel yarn is available in 8 oz tubes or convenient 400 yard mini cones. Please note that our Tencel and our 8/2 Bamboo are available in many of the same colors.
