New Book! A Sense of Place by Andrea Mowry

A Sense of Place might have been dreamed up in Washington state, but it fits right in across the country here in Maine. The Jubilee Hat is an adorable quick to knit project. Short row shaping creates the warm ear flaps while squishy textured stitches provide extra insulation. The pattern lets you choose between a pointed or rounded crown.
Sizes: Newborn (Baby, Toddler, Youth, Adult Small, Adult Medium, Adult Large)
Gauge: 23 sts and 31 round to 4″ in rib pattern on size US 5 needle.
Yarn: 100 (100, 115, 160, 210, 260, 280) yards DK or light DK weight yarn such as Jo Sharp Classic DK Wool Yarn, Jo Sharp Silkroad DK Tweed Yarn or [Sorry, item discontinued or temporarily out of stock] .

The Oxbow Cardigan is knit seamlessly from the bottom up. The shawl collar is picked up and knit at the end. Quick to knit up in a chunky weight yarn on size US 11 needles, you’ll really be able to make one for everyone in your family!
Sizes: All sizes from 12 months to Men’s 54″ chest (and everything between.  No joke!)
Gauge: 13 sts and 21 rows to 4″ in Oxbow Texture (stitch pattern) on size US 11 needles.
Yarn: 316 – 2066 yards chunky weight yarn such as Cascade Eco and Cascade Eco Plus Wool Yarn or Plötulopi Unspun Icelandic Wool Yarn held doubled (that’s what I would use!)

The Full Circle Cowl is warm and cozy knit out of worsted weight yarn. This textured accessory is knit as a long tube in the round, which is then twisted before seaming. Simple construction, but boy does it make for a warm cowl!
Sizes: Child (Adult)
Gauge: 21.5 sts and 30 rows to 4″ in Looking Glass pattern on size US 7 needles.
Yarn: 350 (650) yards worsted weight yarn such as Swans Island Worsted Organic Merino Wool Yarn, Peace Fleece Yarn or [Sorry, item discontinued or temporarily out of stock] .

These Local Roots Mukluks are knit from the top down with an afterthought heel.  Another worsted weight project, these slippers will knit up in no time.  The pattern is written for one size, with instructions on how to make alterations for different sized feet.
Sizes: 10.75″ leg height, variable foot length.
Gauge: 25.5 sts and 31 rows to 4″ in Stitch Pattern on size US 7 needles.
