Using Addi FlexiFlips: Video tutorial and FREE pattern!

Are you tired of juggling all those double-pointed needles? Is the magic loop method not quite working its magic on you? Fear not, knitters! Addi FlexiFlips are just the double-pointed/circular needle hybrid you didn’t even know you needed. Read on to watch the video, and don’t miss the free quick hat pattern below! (Plus, shop a great deal on the featured yarns!)

Using just three needles, these FlexiFlips cut back on extra baggage while still allowing you to work even the smallest circumferences with ease. To demonstrate how these needles work, I made a short video of myself knitting a newborn sized hat – entirely on a set of Addi FlexiFlips. .

Without further ado, here’s the video!

If you like the hat I’m knitting in this video, you can make it too! You’ll find the pattern below. This hat is an adaptation of our Baby's First Hat - Fingering Weight. The original pattern is written for fingering weight yarn in a variety of baby sizes, but I upped it to size US 5 needles and DK weight yarn. Sized to fit a newborn (about a 12″ circumference). For the stripes, I simply alternated colors every two rows. My gauge was approximately 5 sts to 1″.
