Description

For traditional tapestry weaving this simple but incredibly sturdy vertical tapestry loom is surely the standard. Shown here in the optional 2-Shaft configuration, your loom may be purchased with 2 shafts included or shafts can be added separately later. also available in 45, 60, and 100 inch widths.
The weaving is stretched from one beam to the other, like the tapestry made in the " Gobelin" school in Paris.
In the traditional, standard configuration neither beater nor shafts are used with sheds formed either with string heddles or finger manipulation.
A very high tension can be put in the warp by two heavy screws placed on each side of the loom. These screws lower the bottom beam. The rods that hold the warp are inserted in the beams. Some assembly is required.
