Fortitude is a unique, easy to wear ponchette that will keep you cozy all winter long. Knit in just 5 balls of [Sorry, item discontinued or temporarily out of stock] this cozy super-cowl is incredibly warm yet lightweight in a one-size-fits-most style that looks great on everyone.
It knits up quickly in Juniper Moon Stratus, this luxurious Aran weight chainette yarn creates a surprisingly versatile and comfy accessory that is perfect for layering. The Fortitude is worked back and forth to begin, then joined to work in the round to the end. Totally seamless, totally reversible – and sized to fit most adult shoulders. Project calls for size US 9 needle and 5 balls (568 yards) Stratus, or similar weight yarn.
JUNIPER MOON STRATUS YARN
This warm, soft blend is enhanced by its chainette construction, which also allows the yarn to be as lightweight and lofty as can be, while providing a surprisingly wide range of gauges. The unique construction provides strength as well as good stitch definition in a thicker yarn without becoming too dense or heavy. Stratus makes these luxurious fibers easy to use with ample yardage and a modern, fun color palette.
Yarn: 60% merino wool, 10% yak, 10% baby alpaca, 20% nylon. Handwash in cool water, lay flat to dry. 142 yards/50 gram ball.
Gauge: 3.5-5 stitches per inch on US size 7-10.5 knitting needles; 2.75-2.5 sts per inch on size I-9 to K-10.5 crochet hook.
