Louet Bulky Bobbin

Louet Bulky bobbin is designed for thicker yarns and requires the wide flyer for use with any standard Louet wheels. Ratios are: 6.2:1, 5:1, 4.2:1 Fits wheel models S10, S10DT, S51, S51DT, S15, S17 and S75DT.

Louet S-10 and S-15 Bobbins

These bobbins have three spinning ratios: 5.5, 7.5 and 10.5:1. These bobbins which fit all but the S-45 and Victoria, are the standard bobbins for S-10 and S-15 wheels produced since 1992. If you have an older wheel with a clear plastic drive band and 2-speed bobbins, these bobbins will fit, but you will need to purchase a “new" black drive band (#65610000). For the complete upgrade, you will want the Hi-Speed Flyer Set as well.

Louet S-10 and S-15 Fat Core Bobbins

Fat core bobbins have a 2" clear lucite core and the same spinning ratios and size as the high speed bobbins, but produce a lighter pull on the yarn for greater control when spinning finer threads. Ratios are: 6.5:1, 9.5:1, 15:1.

Majacraft Boil-a-Bobbin

Majacraft has come up with something dramatically different in the world of bobbins – boilable bobbins made of durable plastic with holes in the shaft so they can be thrown right into hot water! But why? Maybe you’ve just spun bulky singles for an icelandic style sweater, or delicate singles for the pattern weft of an overshot coverlet. If you try to skein the singles you could be in for a tangled mess as soon as they come off the niddy noddy. Set the twist before you skein by boiling the full bobbins. Majacraft Suzie High-Speed Head

Majacraft manufactures a multiplying head, for the Suzie wheel which increases the ratios to a maximum of 32:1. The spinner does not need to pedal rapidly, the multiplying head does the work but is slightly heavier to treadle than a standard ratio head. Especially suitable for fine fiber, it is supplied with a special fine fibre flyer. Speeds available with this head range from 12.3:1 to 32:1.

Majacraft E System Flyer and Hook

* E-hooks (shown here) and E-flyers are designed for the advanced spinner, especially those dealing with very fine fibre or very abrasive wool or greasy wools that wear normal hooks. All surfaces that come in contact with the fibre are lined with ceramic inserts. Together these make up the E-System but the components can be used individually. * The flyer hook is fitted with a ceramic insert and becomes a smooth wear free guide for the wool passing through it. Ceramic flyer hooks are now available in both 6mm for delicate fine spinning or a 10mm for more general use. * The heart of the flyer has a cermic insert at each end of the brass orifice. These guide the fibre through the orifice but hold it clear of the sides. The result is a very smooth flow with no dragginging action or tension as the fibre passes through. This is perfect for the fine fibre or lace spinners. The flyer is also balanced for vibration free spinning at high speeds. *Both E-hooks and E-flyers can be used in conjunction with your normal flyer or hooks i.e. an E-hook can be fitted to any Majacraft flyer or an E-flyer can be fitted with conventional sliding flyer hooks of any size.
