Halcyon began the signature collection in 1971 when she was unable to find yarns that were perfect for the rugs that she wove. She designed and then had manufactured exclusively for Halcyon Yarn the Halcyon Rug Wools. Later the need for other new lines of yarn became apparent and the design and color palette were chosen.
