The Cricket Rigid Heddle is one of our most popular rigid heddle looms and Schacht has just made them even more interesting by creating the Quartet. This clever add-on for the Cricket 15″ loom allows you to convert your rigid heddle into a 4-shaft loom with a weaving width of 13.5 inches.

The Quartet is thoughtfully engineered with features that help you weave more complex patterns. Closely spaced levers move with smooth action to raise and lower shafts. You’ll achieve clean sheds with help from the extended back beam. The pivot beater maximizes your weaving space.
The Quartet requires a 15″ Cricket Rigid Heddle Loom. The loom and optional stand are sold separately and we have a few in stock, once those are gone they are also available for pre-order with delivery later this fall. The Cricket Quartet comes with a 10-dent stainless steel reed, and additional dents are available separately. You’ll also need a warping board or pegs, and your preferred shuttles and bobbins.
If you’re new to weaving on a multi-shaft (also called multi-harness) loom this is an easy and more economical way to get started. Schacht provides excellent how-to instructions in their quick-start PDF, and we’re only an email or phone call away if you need help getting started or planning a project!
