Scholarships and Grants Available from Handweaver’s Guild of America
Did you know the Handweaver’s Guild of America will provide over $4000 in scholarships during 2015-2016? If you’re a student enrolled in an accredited program in the United States or Canada, you could be awarded valuable funds to further your education. Scholarships are intended to further education in the field of fiber arts, including training for research, textile history and conservation. Each is awarded on artistic and technical excellence. Application deadline is March 15, 2015.
To further promote education within its membership, HGA has grants available for individuals to study or take workshops.
HGA also awards the Teach-It-Forward Grant, available to an individual who does an exceptional job of bringing new people to the craft of weaving or spinning.
