Gimme Shelter – give help for Harvey relief efforts! #HarveyRelief
This week thousands of people were displaced from their homes due to hurricane Harvey. It’s not over yet, as the storm has cause unprecedented damage to the people and environment of the Texas Gulf Coast. This is a time for all of us to do what we can to help!
$10 donation for every Gimme Shelter Scarf Project
For each Gimme Shelter project purchased (pattern and 3 of skeins Victorian Boucle Yarn or 5+ balls of Jo Sharp Rare Comfort Kid Mohair Yarn) from now through Sunday, September 10th, Halcyon Yarn will donate $10 to hurricane Harvey relief efforts. We’ll donate half the proceeds to the Greater Houston Community Foundation, and half to the Houston ASPCA to help with animal rescue and shelter. We’ll keep you posted on the progress – help spread the word by sharing this post! #HarveyRelief #GimmeShelter
The Gimme Shelter - Hooded Scarf with Pockets is one of our favorite quick and easy knitting projects, perfect for keeping cozy as fall arrives. The pattern is available as a download or print copy. Knit in three skeins of Victorian Boucle Yarn, it’s lovely in a solid color. Or pick a mix of colors for a gradient or striped look. Here are a few of our favorite combinations:
Want something extra fluffy? Try it in Jo Sharp Rare Comfort Kid Mohair Yarn, using 5-6 balls.
Project requires size 10.5(US) knitting needles.
