New projects in Jo Sharp yarns

We love Jo Sharp’s classic, high quality yarns so much that we stock all of them! Apparently, we’re not the only fans. Two great online publications just released original new designs featuring Jo Sharp yarns, check them out!

TWIST Collective is one of our favorite places to go for inspiration. The online magazine always offers unique designs, lots of helpful tips, interesting articles, and beautiful photography. The recently released Winter edition is full of lovely designs, but we’re partial to the Hearthstone Sweater knit in Jo Sharp Classic DK Wool Yarn.

This cute charcoal grey cabled sweater takes a fresh turn with pops of color in a perfect orange. The Classic DK Wool is a very soft and durable wool in a great range of colors – somehow it just doesn’t pill, so you’ll enjoy years of beautiful wear out of it. You can download the Hearthstone pattern from Twist’s site or order [Sorry, item discontinued or temporarily out of stock] . I know if I knit this I’d wear it all the time!

Wool Studio, from Interweave’s Knit.Wear magazine just launched with a new online-only collection of patterns.

Featuring luxury yarns in sophisticated neutrals, these designs are decadent, yet totally wearable. Jo Sharp’s Jo Sharp Alpaca Kid Lustre Yarn is featured in the Eastham Poncho, by Mary Anne Benedetto. The elegant grey color, “brew” is a perfect medium grey that looks great with everything. The Alpaca Kid Lustre has just a little shine and halo as well as a beautiful, slightly pebbled finish that really highlights the stitch work. In any DK pattern Jo Sharp’s Alpaca Kid Lustre is soft, sophisticated, and so nice to work with!

The Eastham is not the typical boxy rectangle style of so many ponchos, instead it has a closed hem, making more of a batwing or dolman sleeve pullover. The interesting shaping and elegant details are anything but blah, and it looks great as a layering piece that easily dresses up or down.

Speaking of the Alpaca Kid Lustre, we’ve been seen several of you making the  [Sorry, item discontinued or temporarily out of stock] pattern, shown in the poppy red color. It’s also great in the Jo Sharp New Era Merino DK Superwash Yarn, or if you’re thinking ahead to spring, try Jo Sharp Soho Summer DK Cotton Yarn.
