The new PomPom Autumn 2018 issue sets a sophisticated mood for fall with 10 lunar inspired designs. Intricate colorwork, clever stitch patterns and luminous yarns: it’s time to bask in the moonlight! Read on for a peek at some of the projects in this issue:

For the Moondust beanie and mitts, designer Melanie Berg took inspiration from the rickshaw tracks left behind by astronauts exploring the surface of the moon. These are knit inside out for effortless reverse Stockinette stitch.
Sizes: Beanie circumference: 17 (18.5, 20)”
Hand circumference: 6.25 (7, 7.25)”
Gauge:  Beanie: 27 sts and 40 rows to 4″ in reverse St st using US 4 needles.
Mitts: 30 sts and 40 rows to 4″ in reverse St st using US 4 needles.

Brioche is still trending strong, as we can see in Anna Strandberg’s beautiful Luna pullover, shown above. This top down sweater combines seamless two-color brioche with tailored shoulder shaping for a clean, futuristic look.
Sizes: 36.25 (40.75, 44.5, 49, 53.75)”, to be worn with 6-8″ positive ease.
Gauge: 22 sts and 50 rows to 4″ in garter stitch using size US 4 needles after blocking.

Catherine Clark put a lot of thought into designing this stunning Ixchel pullover, from its intricate colorwork to its feminine shaping. Knit up in fingering weight yarn, this sweater wears like a much loved t-shirt. Ixchel is worked from the top down in the round, and the pattern provides plenty of helpful tips for keeping your floats and twists where they need to be.
Sizes: 32 (37, 41.75, 44.25, 49.25)” to be worn with 0-4″ positive ease.
Gauge: 26 sts and 34 rounds to 4″ over color pattern using size US 4 needles after blocking.
