“Swoon Maine” has arrived! New, wonderful book of knitting patterns
Swoon Maine is an inspiring photographic journey of beautiful knits set among the coast and woods of Maine. This collection is the ultimate tribute to author and designer Carrie Bostick Hoge’s love of her (and our) home state of Maine and passion for knitwear design. All 11 designs were inspired by the natural beauty of Maine including the South Paris Cowl, Lighthouse Pullover and Lichen Mittens pictured below.
Additional patterns include women’s sweaters, hats and mitts, a lace shawl and a few pint sized pieces for kids. Carrie invited other Maine enthusiasts to contribute to this collection. Bristol Ivy wrote a beautiful and inspiring essay while Cecily Glowik MacDonald, Mary Jane Mucklestone and Leila Raabe each added a design.
