In Wool Studio Vol. IV, Norah gives us designs that are self-expressive, artistic, and everyday wearable. It’s just what we’ve come to expect from the mind of such an experienced designer, one who is well known for her intricate details and unexpected construction. This print edition gives you all the knitting patterns and plenty of beautiful photography of each project.
For the Avery Shawl, Gaughan uses geometric shapes and modular knitting to create an intriguingly seamless, distinctive piece.
Size: 31″ edge to edge at widest point, 8.5″ tall at genter back, 34″ along inside edge
Gauge: 26 stitches and 42 rounds to 4″ in St st on size US 3 double-pointed needles (project requires two sets of dpn’s)
Yarn: 720 yards (4 balls) soft sport weight such as Jo Sharp Mulberry Silk Georgette Yarn
You might not believe me when I tell you this, but the Emerson Stole (shown above) is completely reversible! This pattern includes charts to help navigate the fancy stitch work. Knit up in a soft yarn with just a small amount of fuzz, this is an accessory you’re sure to become attached to.

Gauge: 29 stitches and 25 rows to 4″ in charted pattern on size US 10 needles.
Yarn: 764 yards Aran to bulky weight yarn, such as Baby Alpaca Grande by Plymouth Yarn or [Sorry, item discontinued or temporarily out of stock] .

I’m a firm believe that oversized knits never go out of style, and knit up in a classic sturdy wool like JaggerSpun Maine Line 3/8 Yarn, this piece will last season after season.
