JaggerSpun 4/8 Wool-Silk Yarn description:
The luxury blend of Australian super fine 21.5 micron merino wool and soft 21.5 micron silk makes this ”light worsted/DK” gauge yarn ideal for luxury garment projects that can be worn next to sensitive skin in warm and cool weather. Besides its sensuous texture the wool/silk blend makes it warm for winter and cool in summer. The two fibers absorb dyes slightly differently giving a lustrous intensely deep color. As a worsted spun yarn you'll find they are smoother and shinier than woolen spun yarns.
They also won't full as much when washed/finished, so plan on a closer sett or tighter gauge (finish your swatch to determine if you like the finished piece). JaggerSpun is dyed with the finest dyes possible. Excess dyes may be present in some colors so sample first. If excess dye is present, skein the yarn and rinse until the water runs clear. Deep purples may not be colorfast when exposed to sun, so avoid prolonged exposure to bright light.
All color card swatches include a sample of the finer weight Zephyr 2/18 Wool silk and as separate swatch of 4/8 is shown in natural color.
While a large cone may feel expensive, remember this is the equivalent of over nine 50 gm skeins and is a great value for Silk/Merino.
