Fingerless mitts or mittens? You pick!
For decades, Jo Sharp’s Classic DK Wool has been a trusted stash staple. With a wide range of heathered and solid colors, this DK weight 100% Wool yarn is sold in 107 yd/ 50 g balls – super convenient for color work! We decided to put that to the test with the new Corrugated Mitts knitting pattern.
The Corrugated Mitts pattern celebrates the beauty of corrugated rib, a stitch more commonly used along hems and cuffs in traditional colorwork projects. Carrying each color along the inside of your work creates an extra layer of insulation to keep your hands nice and warm. These mitts are worked seamlessly from cuff to fingertip, with rolled edges and simple peasant thumbs. The thumb increases and fingertip decreases are thoughtfully incorporated with the color pattern, creating a simple and elegant finishing touch.
Pattern includes instructions for full length mittens as well as fingerless mitts. Pattern is free when you purchase the yarn – just remember to add it to your cart!
