If you're looking for a project try our exclusive Cottolin Tea Towel Kit. Using 4 Colors of Cottolin to make 8 tea towels measuring 17-18” x 28-30” each. These towels are strong, color fast and easy to weave using a four thread herringbone on a four shaft loom with a 20” weaving width.
Care: Hand or machine wash, machine dry on low or air and damp press.
Knitters hint: the linen keeps lace stitches open and shapely. If you ever felt the urge to create lace panels for light filtering... here's the yarn to use!
Note: sometimes Cottolin is spelled Cotolin, but in each case this refers to a cotton linen blend.
I received my order from Halcyon promptly, which was most appreciated. I ordered 3/2 perle cotton for a project in Tom Knisely's "Handwoven Table Linens". I was really impressed with the luxuriousness of the fiber. 3/2 perle cotton fiber is easy to weave with. This fiber shimmers in the light. Most interesting. Very pleased.
