Plymouth Encore Worsted Yarn description:
For years we resisted yarn with acrylic content because frankly it just didn't look nice or feel good. There was always that slightly “scrunchy/shiny thing” going on. But when we found Encore we became converts (well... partial converts anyway). Customers love Plymouth Encore and with good reason. This tried-and-true machine washable yarn is a classic for afghans, blankets and sweaters. Encore is soft enough for children's sweaters, yet tough enough to be washed time and time again with great results. Use in any pattern calling for worsted weight yarn, and with 40 colors to choose from, you'll never run out of projects to do in Encore!

Halcyon yarn is by far my favorite yarn store. There is an excellent selection of yarns and I always have to take a gander and see if there are any books I "need". I love the yarns from local mills (bartlett, jagger), and right now I am knitting a shawl out of lace weight gemstone silk, which is just a dream. Calling it a yarn store is a bit of a misnomer though, because while knitting is my one true love, I've picked up bobbin lace making, tatting, and felting because of the selection of supplies available here. I recently made my first online order, and was quite pleased with both the availability of yarns and how quickly it was sent out. The staff are wonderful too, they always have a project or two they are working on that they can show off, and always know how to point me in the right direction. I can't say enough wonderful things about this store.
